This kind of jade has undergone special processing, but it shows as natural on the appraisal certificate! Insider Tips

Jade lovers all know that if you want to know whether a piece of jade is authentic, the most direct and reliable way is to go to a regular jade appraisal department for appraisal and to issue an appraisal certificate.

However, in the jade market, not all jade can be distinguished as authentic by certificates.

There is a kind of processed jade. Even if you issue a formal appraisal certificate, the appraisal result will be natural jade.

This is burnt red jadeite.

One thing must be explained here:

It does not mean that the identification agency of burned red jade cannot identify it, but that conventional identification cannot identify it. In the appraisal agency, it is still possible to determine whether it has been subjected to the red-burning treatment through special appraisal instruments, but an additional fee is required.

The so-called burned red jadeite is made by physically heating ordinary quality red jadeite to simulate the effect of natural weathering, so that poor quality red jadeite can be transformed into good-looking red jadeite in a short period of time.

Because in a sense, this heat treatment is classified as optimization and no chemical components are added, it is still classified as natural jade.

Today I will talk to you in detail how to distinguish and identify this burned red jadeite.

1. Look at the color brightness

Natural red jadeite is generally dark in color, appearing brown-yellow or brown-red. The colors are quite diverse, and there is a sense of layering between different colors.

The burned red jadeite has a single red tone, which is bright and vivid with no sense of layering in the color transition.

2. Look at the fineness of the surface of red jadeite

The base of natural red jadeite is mostly waxy, and the surface is delicate and round;

Although the burned red jade has bright color, it feels dry and rough, unnatural, and has a dry and grainy feel.

3. Look at the boundaries between colors

When the red color of natural red jadeite and other primary colors, such as green, white, purple, etc., appear on the same piece of jadeite, there will be a very obvious boundary;

This is not the case with burned red jadeite. There is no obvious boundary, but rather a gradual transition.

4. Observe transparency

The red part of natural red jadeite is relatively more transparent, especially at the color boundary, where the transparency is higher;

However, there is no obvious change in the transparency of different colors of burned red jadeite, especially the burned red parts, where the transparency is even worse.

5. Observe the surface smoothness

The surface of natural red jadeite will be very smooth and flat after polishing;

If you observe the surface of burned red jadeite through a magnifying glass, you will find many tiny cracks, low smoothness and poor reflectivity.

Finally, I have to say that although this kind of burned red jade is processed, no chemical means are used, and it does not cause any harm to the human body. Moreover, the price is much cheaper. The bracelet may cost four figures, so it is okay to wear it.
