The piece of yellow-skinned material we are talking about today can be said to have a long and arduous journey. Because there was a large area of ​​yellow fog and a lot of water head under the light, it attracted the attention of a big brother. He decisively bought it, but after opening the window, it was not ideal. At that time, he gave it to a friend who was a carver. However, after peeling the skin, countless small cracks appeared on it, so it was discarded in a corner. Later, a senior brother who was also a carver saw it when he visited his home and gave it away as a favor.

This piece of material is 24 in length, 7.5 in thickness, and weighs 2.6 kilograms, making it a giant among Macans. The highlight is that the skin is covered with large areas of red fog. The white meat is not outstanding, the glutinous meat has short water head, and there are countless small cracks. It is obvious that nothing can be obtained!

But after careful design, the shape was roughly outlined, a fully hollow relief made by the Dragon Venerable, in order to avoid the numerous fine cracks. Looking back on the process, I had to stop work and make changes several times. How should some cracks be avoided to keep the overall feeling intact? This ornament can only be made while thinking, not necessarily done exactly as drawn. Sometimes inspiration comes and I change some things, and then the flesh is not what I imagined. Small pieces are fine, but a slight mistake on large pieces will affect the hollowing out of the dragon body on the back. All these complicated processes took three years on and off, and were finally completed after polishing and grinding.

The moment I saw the finished product, I felt that the past three years were not in vain. The venerable one on the front looks dignified and stands there solemnly, like an invincible god of war, while the golden dragon on the back rises up into the clouds, looking lifelike, as if it is about to soar into the sky.
