Today I would like to share with you the process of designing and carving a piece of Damakan yellow jade with the theme of enlightenment. I myself also like simple but artistic subject matter, especially free-form designs. This piece is a brand that the client specially customized for me.

The jade carver has polished the raw material into shape according to the customer's requirements.

The back is engraved with the "Tao Te Ching", in which Lao Tzu said: "The highest good is like water. Water benefits all things without contention. It stays where people hate it, so it is close to the Tao. It lives in a good place, has a deep heart, is kind to others, speaks truthfully, governs well, is capable in doing things, and acts at the right time. It does not contend, so it has no blame."

After seeing the overall design effect, the customer was very satisfied with the design.

The carving is completed, the yellow jade material is excellent, very moist, and the texture is a blend of white and light yellow, giving a feeling of surging winds and clouds; the enlightened person is calm and composed in the turbulent waves, combining movement and stillness.

The back of the material is clean and free of impurities, and the yellow mist next to it surrounds the scriptures, which enhances the beauty of the work to multiple levels.

After polishing, the effect is beyond expectations, it's amazing! It has a strong sense of glue, is old and has a lot of water, is cool like water, and has a slight fluorescence. It is like heaven and earth compared with the rough material. The exquisite polishing and grinding make every part oily and shiny, and the pearly luster of jadeite is fully displayed.

The jade carver skillfully used the darker yellow jadeite to create a strong contrast in color.
