However, most ice jade contains more cotton wool than glass jade, so its transparency is worse than glass jade. The so-called cotton wool is actually a natural mineral. These minerals are mostly some albite, analcime, nepheline and other minerals. The cotton wool in jade cannot be removed because it is a natural mineral, so it will exist inside any natural jade. Of course, the cotton wool inside some jadeite with higher transparency can be seen more clearly, especially glass and ice jadeite grades. Since the overall water head transparency is relatively high, cotton wool will be seen. However, since glass and ice jade are of better quality, there are fewer cotton balls inside. In particular, glass-type jadeite has good overall quality and high transparency. Although there are some cotton fibers, they cannot be seen clearly without careful observation.

Because jade has a relatively high collection value, and some unscrupulous merchants are also aware of the characteristics of glass jade and ice jade, there are quite a few fake jade in the market. Especially glass and ice jade, but these jades also have a more obvious feature, that is, there is no cotton inside, and the overall interior is relatively transparent.
