•3. “Image Jadeology” believes that the color of jade is formed by the presence of different color-causing factors. These color-causing factors, whether primary or secondary, cannot affect the density, hardness and water head of jade, and are external factors that cannot reflect the internal texture of jade. Therefore, when we judge the "type" of a piece of jade, we should ignore the color and only look at the density, wear resistance and water head. Don't be distracted by color, and don't use color words to define "species" (but color itself has "species" attributes). Color: The greener the color, the higher the value. Green is the most expensive. Common greens include true green (emerald green), apple green, boxwood green, melon green, and oil green. Colors can be divided into green, purple, black, colorless, etc.

•4. Workmanship: refers to the workmanship and carving of jade. A piece of jade with a clear theme, unique and ingenious design, fine carving and bright polishing can reflect the quality and cultural value of the jade to the greatest extent. This is a good work.

▪5. Weight: The size of the pendant. Jade is a rare thing. With the same texture, the greater the weight, the higher the value.

▪6. Cracks: A good jade article is not allowed to have cracks. Cracks and fissures in the finished product are the biggest taboo. The existence of cracks first shows that the jade article is incomplete, and if it appears in a key position, it is even more unforgivable.

Things to note when purchasing jade jewelry

If you want to see the overall effect of jadeite, you can observe it through reflected light. The focus is on its shape, form and color. Under this light source condition, the color of jadeite is the most realistic. If you want to observe the internal structure of jade, you can use projected light to see whether it has cracks, black spots, white flowers, etc., and you can see the distribution of its color bands, but this kind of light will often beautify the color of jade.
