In fact, it is quite difficult to identify jadeite using mobile phone photos, especially some high-B (highly simulated B-grade) ones. Why? Because the photo is not clear enough, the characteristics of acid etching on the jade surface cannot be seen clearly. If there are high-definition photos, the judgment is actually more accurate. Please see the photos: See these "netting"? It is also called "spider pattern", "crab claw pattern" and "grain boundary seam" in the industry. It is the "evidence" that jade has been acid-etched and injected with glue, and the basis for judging AB goods. The photos were taken with a mobile phone and a macro lens specially designed for mobile phones. Looking at these reticulations with a magnifying glass, you can see that the lines are depressions formed by corrosion between the crystals. You can also see that some glue has overflowed from the injection, leaving a dull reticulation-like luster on the polished surface. If you want to identify the AB part of jadeite yourself, you only need a 30x magnifying glass or a macro lens for a mobile phone, and use appropriate reflections to easily and accurately distinguish the AB part of jadeite. The above photos show jadeite that has been severely acid-etched and filled with glue. Some of the jadeite that has been less severely acid-etched have textures that are somewhat different from this photo. Please note the difference. The above are only some of the characteristics of B+C jadeite. A popular science post cannot fully summarize them. Friends can post comments to add to the content. Thanks! A little science: A-grade jade means that it has only undergone physical processing (to form the desired shape, such as cutting, carving, grinding, and polishing), but has not undergone chemical treatment. B-grade jadeite: refers to jadeite that has been chemically treated (acid etching to remove impurities) and has silicone or other fillers added to the cavities formed by acid corrosion. Jade B+C goods: dyed based on B goods. Equipment used in this article: Huawei P9 mobile phone, mobile phone-specific macro lens. fcgc66 fcpf18 |
