Can jade get sick?

Can jade get sick?

People eat whole grains, and it is inevitable that they will get sick. so? Jade does not open its mouth to eat, so how can it get sick? The disease of jadeite is also called jade disease. So what is the jade disease of jadeite?

1. Definition of Jade Disease

The disease of jadeite is also called jade disease, which actually refers to two aspects: on the one hand, it refers to jadeite with obvious flaws and cracks, and these imperfect flaws are called jade disease; on the other hand, jadeite with poor water color and texture is also called jade disease.

Sellers and buyers may have different opinions on this jade disease. Usually sellers will avoid mentioning jade defects and narrow down the scope of jade defects, while buyers will magnify them. Both parties have different positions and see things differently. Returning to the jade itself and objectively evaluating the jade defects of jade, in fact, in addition to the definitions of professionals and the general public, everyone has their own preferences. In fact, as long as the jade you like is good jade.

2. The folk definition of jade disease

The folk definition of jade disease refers to some defects existing in jade materials. These defects include ringworm in the jade material, as well as dirt, cotton, yellowing, grooves and other defects.

1. Dirty

In the jewelry industry, "dirty color" mostly refers to poor visual effects, which are obviously inconsistent with the overall color. Impure color bands also include defects such as black spots and yellow spots that affect the beauty of jade pieces. Not only can "dirty color" not be used to improve the value of the jade, it will greatly reduce the quality and value of the jade piece. Therefore, when selecting materials, jade carving craftsmen will try their best to avoid dirty spots on the raw materials, or if possible, drill out the dirty color before processing.

2. Eat yellow

The yellow color in jade is generally the color produced by trivalent iron ions; if the color distribution is relatively concentrated, it is generally called yellow jade, and if it is scattered, it is generally regarded as a dirty color. A saying among the people is called acid reduction, which refers to this color that is not pure yellow, which has an impact on the base color of jade. This is the yellowing of jade.

3. Ringworm

The black in jade means exactly what it says. The black dots, threads or blocks that appear in jade and affect the beauty of jade are called jade lichen. If the green turns black, if the entire piece of jade looks like this, we generally call it black jade. If this kind of green turns black appears scattered in a piece of jade, it is generally called "moss", which is a defect. If such black impurities appear in a large number of jade, it is generally called black chicken variety. In the past two years, some black chicken varieties of jade have also been popular, because some of them have the feeling of traditional ink paintings. From a chemical point of view, there is no chromium element in jadeite, which means that the geological conditions under which this kind of jade was formed do not involve the element of chromium. Therefore, the green color of jadeite is not formed, and part of it turns black.

4. Cotton

"Cotton" refers to the cloud-like or fog-like inclusions that are often seen in some jadeite with good water content. There are some cotton-like substances inside the transparent or translucent jade, which we call the "cotton" of jade. Combined with good subject matter, the artistic conception of falling snow is really very beautiful. Not all cotton is defective. Snowflake cotton is very worth collecting. Snowflake cotton is a variety of Mu Na material that is worth seeing.
