Keep these 8 points in mind, identifying jadeite rough stones is no longer difficult

Jadeite raw stone often has a weathering crust. Due to the presence of the weathering crust, the interior of the jade cannot be observed. The identification of jadeite raw stone is mainly through observing the various phenomena that appear on the surface of the weathering crust. Today I will tell you some common jadeite skins that are easy to identify when you get them.

The raw stones mainly have black skin and yellow skin. Generally, the chance of black skin being opened is higher. It mainly depends on the thickness and uniformity of the outer skin. The finer and more uniform the better. Also depends on the light transmittance. When the light is pressed down, the larger and longer the refraction surface, the better. This is the simplest way to identify the quality of jadeite raw stone from its skin.

1. The opening must be correct. The material of jadeite produced from the opening depends on the specific environment. Not every open raw stone can produce glass-type imperial green jade. This has nothing to do with luck.

2. Old elephant skin: As the name suggests, the skin is like elephant skin and is rough. It is basically produced from the Moshisha mine. Waxy shell black sand, fine-skinned black sand: The black sand skin can be a darker black, waxy shell, and fine sand skin. It is generally believed that there will be a darker green part inside, and even full green jade may appear. However, the black sand skin jade raw stone varies greatly. Some have green with black spots, some have very dry green, and some have green with impurities and black spots. This is the seed material of black sand, but the skin is different, and it is also the most common skin of black sand.

3. Peeling sand skin: As the name suggests, part of the sand on the skin falls off automatically, revealing the flesh. Such skin is easy to produce ice-type and glass-type materials, which are very valuable. Old eraser: The skin is wrinkled like elephant skin. This kind of skin is also a sign of old age. It is easy to bet on appreciation and easy to produce ice type. Toad: People who have seen a toad know that its skin is nauseating. Such skin is also a sign of old jadeite in the jadeite raw stone. Although it is not good-looking, it is easy to produce good ice-type and glass-type materials. Old bark: wrinkled, it is an old raw stone that has been squeezed out under high pressure, it is old and has fine texture, and it is also often good ice material.

4. What is sand casting: There are obvious weathered sand grains on the skin, and the skin feels gritty, some of which can be wiped off by hand. There are various colors such as red, white, yellow, brown, gray and black. We often say that the sand turning is strong, which means the skin is compact. The "sand" on the jade skin plays a decisive role in the "structure" inside the jade. The decisive role of the "sand" of jade lies in: the so-called "sand hair" of "jade stone" refers to the "touch" (the feeling of touching) of the jade raw stone skin. The rough sand means that the jade is old and the water is good. A smooth texture means that the seed is tender and has little water. Old seed is often difficult to color, but old seed can easily color if it has cracks. Sandy board means poor color and many cracks, while sand means good meat but slightly insufficient water quality.

5. Separating the flesh of jadeite raw stone through the skin: First, we must look at the performance of the skin, check whether there is a green band surrounding the raw stone on the skin, and then see whether the color of the green band is pure bright green, whether it is a very rich green, and then see whether there are green loose flowers on the green band, and whether there are green loose flowers next to the band. If all these are present, there will definitely be bright green inside when cut. This is what is often said in the industry: "It is better to buy a first-line product than a whole piece."

6. After the above conditions are met, see how many cracks there are in the skin, whether they are parallel cracks or spider cracks. Generally, the original stone has cracks. Large cracks are easy to see, while streak cracks and spider cracks are not easy to see, but they are the most harmful. As the saying goes: "It is better to buy a ditch than a strand." Grooves refer to large cracks. One or two large cracks are easy to avoid when taking materials. Strands refer to spider cracks that are criss-crossed or radiating in the same direction or twisted in the shape of a pretzel. If there are too many cracks, even the best material will lose its value and it will be difficult to obtain the material. Too much waste.

7. Shine the light on and check the quality of the jade skin: the quality refers to the material and texture of the jade. The finer the texture and the smaller the grains, the older the species. Water: refers to the transparency of jadeite. The higher the transparency, the better the quality. The quality and water content are inseparable. Jade with quality but no water is opaque and of low value. Jade with water content but no quality cannot be polished. Generally, the quality and water content are checked with a strong jade lamp [yellow light] to check the transmittance. The deeper the transmittance and the larger the diameter of the transparency, the better the quality and water content, and the more valuable the material.

8. Ringworm, cotton, and dirt: Black ringworm can produce green and can also eat green. It is often said that ringworm eats green, ringworm follows green, and there is often green under ringworm. Cotton refers to white cotton wool, stone brain, stone tendons and stone patterns. If there are too many of these, the density will be reduced and the finished product will depreciate. Dirty refers to mixed colors. Affect the appearance of the finished product
