A-1, B-2, C-3

The dirty colors are removed by soaking and bleaching in acid, and then filling with glue to improve its color and transparency. The internal crystal structure of B-grade jadeite is often severely damaged after processing.

C-grade jade refers to jade that has been artificially dyed. There are many methods of artificially dyeing jade now.

Most of the time, the jade is heated first to enlarge the gaps between the jade crystal particles, and then it is placed in the dye so that the dye enters the jade along the gaps.

There is also B+C jade on the market now, which, as the name suggests, is jade that has been acid-washed, bleached, filled with glue and then dyed.

When talking about the price of jadeite, words like "big three", "middle four" and "small five" often appear. What do they mean?

Depending on the type, water, color, carving, time, purchase channel, etc. of jadeite, "big three", "middle four" and "small five" are often used to describe the value range.

The first word "big", "medium" and "small" refer to the size range of numbers. The number range of "small" is 1, 2, 3, the number range of "medium" is 4, 5, 6, and the number range of "big" is 7, 8, 9.

The second words "three", "four" and "five" refer to the number of digits. "Three" in mathematics refers to the hundreds digit, "four" refers to the thousands digit, "five" refers to the tens of thousands digit, and "six, seven, eight, nine" and so on.

Opening windows and wiping

"Water extraction" is a special term for jade processing, which is commonly known as "polishing". It is a procedure in jade processing. Water extraction means to remove the roughness first and then polish it. The final stage of water extraction is to oil and wax the jade.

When it comes to purchasing jadeite raw stones, "looking more" is a process of selection and comparison.

It is also a process of accumulating and verifying experience; it is the prerequisite for "buying". "Buying less" does not mean not buying, but reminding you to "look" carefully before buying.
