No matter how the jade market develops, BC goods of jade have always been lurking in the market and passed off as the real thing. The counterfeit market is always changing with each passing day. Today I will share with you a simple and quick way to identify BC goods ~ learn it together! 1. What is ABC jadeite? The country has standards for the classification of jadeite into A, B, and C grades! However, the standard does not represent the grade of jadeite, it is just a simple classification. A-grade natural jadeite products. Its texture and color have not been artificially modified and remain natural. This type of jewelry will become more moist and shiny as you wear it for a longer time. High-grade jadeite has both value preservation and investment value. It is not necessary to add the words "natural or A-grade" when selling the product. If the mark is "Jade Bracelet", it must be natural or A-grade. B-grade jade raw materials or semi-finished products with dirty, gray-black, dry, and green or dark colors are processed by artificial chemical and physical methods to increase their transparency, improve their appearance, and make the original color more beautiful. B-grade jadeite refers to jadeite that has been acid-washed and filled with glue. If the mined ore is of poor quality, unscrupulous merchants will soak it in strong acid to remove the black spots and impurities inside the jade. But at the same time, the structural texture of the jade is also destroyed, just like our bones become brittle after being damaged by porous bones, and break easily when squeezed. It loses its original toughness and is full of small holes after erosion. At this time, silicone or epoxy resin is filled into the jade, which we call glue injection. After such artificial processing, inferior jadeite can look very beautiful and its texture may be transparent. In fact, it has neither collection value nor commercial value. Even if you wear it yourself, think about it, soaking it in chemicals, especially strong acids, will cause great harm to the human body. People who don’t understand may buy B-grade jade just to save money, but time will prove everything. Fake jade will oxidize over time and may turn black, yellow, etc. And this kind of change is not what the merchants say. People raise jade, and your jade absorbs the foul air in your body. Therefore, how to identify B-grade jadeite is a big problem we encounter. This kind of artificial strong corrosion treatment destroys the original structure of jade, making it loose, so it needs to be filled with organic glue to bond it. This will reduce the quality and change the original optical and physical properties of jade. It has lost its true value. C-grade jade is made by artificially infiltrating dyes into the originally colorless jade under high temperature and high pressure based on the processing of B, so that all or part of it is dyed emerald green or purple, etc. However, its color will fade and become dull over time. Some people said, huh! If it is dyed, I can tell the difference by just soaking it. If it is dyed, it will definitely fade if I soak it or boil it at high temperature. Teacher Huang told everyone that it might have been possible in the past, but now the counterfeiting and dyeing technology is getting more and more advanced, and it may not be easy to distinguish. The main dyeing process at present is to heat the jade first to expand the cracks in its crystal particles, and then dot dye on it to allow the color to slowly seep in. Most of the dyes are green, purple, yellow and red. For BC goods, the national standard has clear regulations that the name of the goods sold must be marked with "Jade Optimization (Processing)", otherwise it is a fraudulent act of passing inferior goods off as genuine ones. 2. How to distinguish A-grade and BC-grade goods 1. Look at the color! "The color is not correct and the color is floating without roots." (1) Evil colors, get out of the way! This is mainly reflected in the green color. Nowadays, many C and B+C are dyed green. Newbies should be careful, because C jade gives people the feeling that it is of evil color! (2) Those who cannot see the source of the color, get out of the way! The main manifestation is that the color floats on the surface, with no transition from inside to outside, or the transition is not obvious. What needs to be specially pointed out here is that the means of counterfeiting are becoming more and more sophisticated, and dyed products may also have color roots. We need to make comprehensive judgments based on multiple methods to draw accurate conclusions. 2. Look at the germplasm! "The germplasm does not match." This is mainly applicable to some jadeite, which has very coarse grains but gives people a feeling of long water head as a whole. This phenomenon should not be a phenomenon of natural jadeite. (Of course, this does not apply to some jadeite that shows recrystallization phenomenon.) Newbies will run away when they see this kind of thing! 3. Look at the surface! Tips: Cellulite and acid cracks. Tips: Pick up the bracelet, adjust the position of the bracelet under the light (any light will do), capture the reflective spots on the surface of the bracelet, and check with the naked eye to see if there are pits and acid cracks on the surface. If so, get out of here immediately! Be careful not to take out the magnifying glass, or the experts will laugh at you! Special note: some high-B Cuicui can also have orange peel effect, so don't hang yourself on a tree, change will work. 4. Method to look at the texture: Pick up the bracelet and hold it against the light, paying attention to the transmitted light. If the texture inside is very messy, and seriously looks like a net or tree roots, you are a newbie, so get out of the way! Veterans, beware! 5. Look for flaws (impurities). Generally speaking, A-grade Cuicui will have some impurities more or less. After all, how pure can the texture of natural stone be? If it is too pure, the price will probably be very high! You can try: look for black in green, look for yellow in white, and in short, remember: most of the A-grade Cuicui are definitely not "innocent girls"! Accept its imperfections!! 6. Listen to the sound (not often used) prepare an agate stick and a rope. Hang the bracelet with a rope and be careful not to hold it with your hands! ! Use the agate stick to gently tap the bracelet. (Note that the agate stick is the correct choice! Coins, keys, and other DDs are not accurate!) Sound: The sound of A-grade products is clear and melodious, as beautiful as the sound of wind chimes! B-grade jade refers to jade that has only been washed. The sound is dull and hoarse. Some bracelets that have been lightly pickled also have clear sounds, but they are short and there is no melodious echo! C goods, sound, dull and hoarse. It's like the sound of picking up two keys and tapping them against each other. fcgc66 fcpf18 |
