Jade jargon: Five things not to buy, three things not to choose

When choosing jadeite, there are five things you shouldn’t buy and three things you shouldn’t select. Have you fallen into these traps?

In the jade market, it is common to fall into traps. It is okay to master some jade knowledge and choose the corresponding jade according to a reasonable budget.

Five things not to buy:

1. Don’t buy materials that are too thin, such as Guangpian, Tielongsheng thin slices, etc. We must be aware that particularly thin jade is not valuable.

2. Don’t buy if you have doubts. If the gloss and color look unnatural, it’s best not to buy jade if you have doubts.

3. Don’t buy if it’s messy and messy. It’s normal for jade to have impurities, but if a piece of jade has cracks, black spots and other impurities, it’s not worth buying.

4. Don’t buy those with strange shapes. Some jadeite is carved to look like different things in order to avoid cracks and dirt. This kind of jadeite is not recommended for purchase.

5. Don't buy jade in scenic spots. Poor quality, fake, and rip-off are all synonyms, so there is no need to explain more.

Three Don’ts:

1. Do not choose those with color but no quality, such as dry green;

2. Don’t choose those with poor water quality, such as bean seed and porcelain ground;

3. Don’t choose B-grade or C-grade jade. No matter how low the price is, it is still a jade with problems.
