A lotus leaf fish is carved from a piece of jadeite full of cracks. The finished product is very pleasing

When many people first start playing with jade, they tend to only focus on ice-type, full-color, and perfect high-end products, and show disdain when seeing works with slightly lower quality, lack of color or defects. However, although high-end jade is beautiful and charming, its price is so high that it makes people doubt their lives. On the contrary, some materials with inferior water quality and color or defects can be carefully crafted and the finished products can also be very exquisite and charming!

Today, the editor will share the creation process of carving a glutinous jadeite with floating green color and full of cracks, to witness the perfect transformation of ordinary materials!

This is a piece of jade obtained after the skin of a jadeite raw stone is peeled off. I believe that many friends who play with raw stones would want to throw it away when they see material of this quality. Although the jade material has fine glutinous quality and also has floating green color, there are more cotton on the jade material, and the most fatal thing is that it is covered with cracks (the ones drawn on the jade material with pencil are all cracks). When getting jade materials like this, many jade lovers may consider whether it is worth carving. After all, the performance of the raw materials is not good. If they still spend money to carve it, they may not get what they want!

But jade is alive in the eyes of jade carvers. No matter whether its natural performance is good or bad, as long as they can find its bright spots, maximize the bright spots, and find ways to remove the shortcomings of the jade material, it will have the opportunity to become a surprising jade carving! After careful analysis and composition of the jade material, the jade carver finally finalized the theme of "Lotus Leaf Fish (meaning surplus year after year)": the rich and complex carving lines can well avoid the cracks on the jade material, and a lotus leaf is used to color the green part, which can retain the green color to the greatest extent; a fishing net is used as an embellishment in the lower right corner where the stone pattern is most concentrated, avoiding the pattern while adding the meaning of "harvest" to the theme, making the whole carving theme more meaningful - surplus year after year, harvest every year!

Finally, with the exquisite craftsmanship, the natural cracks in the jade have been removed very cleanly, and the perfection of the finished product has been greatly improved; the green carving makes it the most eye-catching part of the pendant; and the full and beautiful meaning is even more pleasing!
