5. Carving: Good jade needs no workmanship, which means that a piece of good enough material does not need carving. Plain objects have very high requirements for materials. If you want to make something bigger, you must not make it smaller; if you want to make something thick, you must not make it thin.

6. After carving, it becomes what is called rough goods in the market. It has a fixed shape and carving, and is a semi-finished product that has not been polished or waxed.

7. Polishing and waxing require a professional factory to do this. Expensive materials definitely need to be manually polished. There are also pure machine polishing, and there are also semi-machine polishing and hand polishing. Except for very poor materials that are purely machine polished, the worst of the others are half machine and half manual.
