The raw jadeite stones are all wrapped in big stones. The popular gambling on stones has always been to bet on whether the raw jadeite stones in the big stones are good or bad. For those who don’t understand, luck plays a big part, but for the old masters who have experience in selecting raw stones, it is more than just luck. Knowledge is money and this is where it is reflected. Selecting jadeite rough stones In the jade mining process, the real technical work is the last step, classification. The jade raw materials excavated and selected from the mines are pulled to the warehouse. In the dim room, under the strong spotlight, the most experienced masters use their keen eyes to sort the jade into different grades according to the surface characteristics of the jade. Some of the raw jade materials cannot even be made into B-grade jade, and will be eliminated here (for this kind of material, I am afraid that even the shipping cost cannot be recovered). Most of the remaining raw materials will be scored and cut according to the characteristics of the skin and personal experience. Some will be sawn into several pieces in the middle, some will just have a lid cut out, and some raw materials that perform well but are not practical will be wiped and polished to suit the needs of a small number of gambling customers. In fact, this practice of direct cutting in the mining area did not exist in the 1990s. With the mechanized mining, a large amount of jade raw materials have emerged, and auctions in Yangon and Pingzhou are in full swing. Jade has become a huge industry, and people's awareness of purchasing raw materials must change from gambling to wisdom. Because of the change in marketing methods, it has transformed into buying and selling open materials, which has given the opportunity to make big money to the mine owners and reduced or even avoided risks in the circulation links, especially domestic raw material merchants. After all, the risk in the gambling business is very high and it does involve gambling. Looking at the deep mine being mined not far away, a question suddenly occurred to me: how do I know if the jade in a mine has been mined out? Recalling some of the abandoned mines I passed by, there were loess, red soil and black soil. It turns out that the deposition of emerald sand mines in the highland gravel layer is layer by layer in a certain pattern, and the gravel with black skin is the bottom layer. This is what is meant by Black Stone Corner. 1. Judging by the scene Each mining area has its own characteristics. Some mining areas produce less jade, but each piece is of high quality. Some mining areas produce a large amount of jade, but the quality of the jade is inferior. Only by grasping the characteristics of each piece of jadeite rough stone and determining which mine it was produced from can we infer whether the rough stone is worth gambling on based on the characteristics of the mine. 2 Judging by fog The fog of jadeite raw stone refers to a layer of foggy opaque substance that exists between the outer weathering crust and the internal jadeite. The fog of jadeite raw stone mainly includes white fog, yellow fog, red fog and black fog. Although fog cannot directly affect the color of jade, fog of different colors has different indicative functions. Therefore, fog is an important indicator for judging the quality of jade raw stone. 3. Judging by the skin The skin is the weathered outer skin of the jadeite raw stone. The different performances of different skins determine the various conditions of their internal textures. For example, the colors of the skin include black, gray, yellow, brown, light yellow, white, etc. The color, base, type and cracks inside the jadeite raw stone can be judged based on the skin. 4 Judging by pine flowers When you look closely at the skin of the jadeite raw stone, you can vaguely see some color blocks that look like dried moss, which we call pine flowers. Pine flowers are traces left behind when the green on the jade fades due to weathering, so the color inside the jadeite can be inferred based on the intensity, quantity, density, and shape changes of the pine flowers. 5 Judging by Python Python is the thin strips or blocks that appear on the surface of the jadeite raw stone, which are different from other places. You can bet on it only if you have python raw stone, and some people must find pine flowers on the python before they can bet. 6. Judging by cracks In the jadeite raw stone, the cracks are called fissures, and the healed cracks are called strands. Cracks are divided into primary cracks, which are formed at the same time as the original stone, and secondary cracks, which are formed after rock diagenesis. Some of the original cracks will be "repaired" by later geological activities, so most of the cracks in jade are formed later. 7 Judging by ringworm Tinea refers to marks of various shapes that appear on the skin of jadeite raw stone, mostly in the form of spots and stripes, usually black or dark green. Generally speaking, ringworm and green are closely related, but the presence of ringworm does not necessarily mean the presence of green, and the presence of green does not necessarily mean the presence of ringworm. 8. Judging by meat quality The flesh of jade exists under the skin and fog. It is real jade. The flesh is almost not affected by the outside world. To judge the quality of the flesh, we must make an overall judgment based on the jade's texture, transparency, base, etc. After all, the focus of gambling on stones is on gambling. It is certainly unrealistic to want to get rich from this. Choose the jade raw materials carefully and then hire a good craftsman to carve it, so that the resulting work will have greater potential for appreciation.
