Do you know the difference between A, B and C grade jadeite?

I believe that many friends will hear others ask whether it is A-grade jade when they come into contact with or buy jade. So do you really understand the difference between true and false jade and ABC?

In fact, jade is divided into "A grade", "B grade", "C grade" and "B+C grade". Only A grade jade is the real jade and is a pure natural jewelry jade. "B goods", "C goods" and "B+C goods" are artificially processed using chemical substances. Wearing them will do harm to your body and have no benefits. Next, Linlang will take you to learn about the differences between these categories in detail.

A-grade jade is pure natural jade. It has only undergone simple processing procedures such as carving, grinding and polishing, retaining the original color, structure and luster of the jade. It is known as the "King of Jade". Products made from it can be worn, displayed and preserved for a long time without fading or discoloring, and has room for value preservation and appreciation.

B-grade jade is glue-injected jade. Generally, the primary ore (the difference between primary ore and secondary ore will be updated later) with poor quality and color is corroded by strong acid and alkali, and then filled with organic or inorganic glue under vacuum and high pressure. The original structure of this kind of jade has been destroyed, and the connection strength between the mineral particles has weakened. Even if the finished product looks greatly improved in color and water quality at the beginning, the luster will fade over time, and the injected glue will age and crack, making it worthless.

C grade jade refers to dyed jade, which is made by artificially dyeing colorless or light-colored jade to enhance the green color, making it look like full green or tri-color. The pigment in this dyed jade cannot be integrated with the jade crystals. It only exists between the cracks of the crystals or between the crystals. It will fade over time and has no value.

Jade B+C grade jade is jade that has gone through both the glue injection and dyeing processes. Its quality and color may look like high-end jade to ordinary people, but in fact it is worthless. The chemicals in it may affect your health if worn for a long time.

In today's information age, the jade market is becoming more and more transparent, but consumers' judgment experience is still far behind the speed of updating of various counterfeiting techniques. However, the essence remains the same. As long as you are not greedy for cheapness and resolutely do not buy dyed and glue-injected jade, it will be difficult for unscrupulous merchants to take advantage of the opportunity.
