How many surprises will you discover if you use an anthropomorphic approach to understand jadeite?

We often say that jade is a man’s best friend and a woman’s most loyal lover. If we regard jade as a person, how should we understand it? Today we will understand the characteristics of jadeite in an anthropomorphic way.

Color Root

Emerald Blood Vessels

Colored jade is always more popular than colorless jade, but everyone seems to like jade with uniform color. If the jade has obvious color roots, its value will be reduced a lot. Color roots are generally vein-shaped.

After wearing it for a long time, we will find that the color of jade becomes more uniform. This is because the coloring factors in the color roots will gradually penetrate into the lattice gaps, and the color of jade seems to be more uniform.

But this does not mean that white jade can be worn as green. The color of the jade may spread but it will not change, and the color diffusion process is much longer than that of cotton.

Texture of Jade

Jade is a stone polycrystalline aggregate that reaches the jade grade under geological action. The jadeite minerals it contains will reflect white light under light. We call this jadeite nature, which is often referred to as fly wings.

When these tiny reflective surfaces gather together, they appear as white cotton-like dots or lines, which we call cotton. In other words, cotton is the boundary line of jadeite crystal particles, and cotton is also a unique characteristic of jadeite.

There is no jade without cotton. Why do we rarely see jade with cotton? This is because the degree of visibility to the naked eye is different. Jade is relatively transparent, so we can clearly see the cotton. If it is completely opaque, we will not be able to see the cotton.

In fact, cotton has little effect on the value of jade. During the wearing process, cotton will gradually penetrate into these boundaries along with human body oil and sweat, changing its refraction direction, and it will become less obvious to the naked eye.

At this time, we feel that the cotton in the jade has become less, but this process is very long compared to our life course, and it is not very obvious. If you don’t like cotton, try to buy jade with higher transparency, and don’t expect to wear the jade through.

Stone Pattern

Scar of Emerald

The formation of jade takes tens of thousands or even hundreds of millions of years. During this long process, jade has also undergone countless geological movements. Countless squeezing, collisions, and pulling have caused the crystallization of jade itself to be destroyed.

In this way, the jade will leave many lines, which we call stone lines. Stone lines are like our scars, neither painful nor itchy, but not very beautiful. Nine out of ten jades have lines. Stone lines are actually very common, but they do not affect the firmness of jade.

Impurities

Mole on Jade

During the formation of jade, if secondary minerals invade, what we call impurities will be formed. Jade itself is a stone jade-grade polycrystalline aggregate, composed of many pyroxene minerals. Different minerals have different colors and naturally appear different.

There are actually many kinds of impurities in jade, including black spots, stone flowers, and variegated colors. Jade is a natural mineral and is naturally not flawless. We must learn to weigh and choose, weigh the impact of impurities on jade, and buy it if we think the impact is not significant.

If you feel that the flaws in jade are really hard to accept, then don't force yourself. Just choose other styles of jade. There is no flawless jade in the world. Relatively perfect jade is already sky-high in price and basically will not circulate on the market.

A good-looking person will not become unsightly because of a small mole. We even call the moles on a beautiful woman's face beauty moles. Instead, the moles will become a feature. Don't give up your favorite jade because of a little flaw.
