How to distinguish true and false jade certificates

When entering the jade business, I have seen too many friends who don’t know much about jade being deceived by unscrupulous merchants who sell fakes as good jade, or pass B-grade or C-grade jade as A-grade jade. Moreover, most of them use fake jade identification certificates. Fake certificates are rampant on the Internet. I don’t know how many buyers have been deceived invisibly!

The appraisal certificate is usually made into a card, and the seal on the card is required. There are two points that need special attention:

First, there is a stamp of the appraisal center on the jadeite photo;

Second, the row of certificate numbers in the jadeite photo is very important. It is the unique number of each authenticated jadeite.

Next is the reverse side of the certificate:

Enter the URL and code on the certificate to check whether the identification result of the jadeite is the same as the identification conclusion on the identification certificate. At present, this method is the most effective way to identify the authenticity of the appraisal certificate.

Several points to note when viewing gemstone identification certificates:

1. Check the name, address, and contact number of the testing agency to see if they are complete and whether the testing agency is authoritative.

2. Check whether the certificate has the China National Laboratory Accreditation Committee accreditation mark and the national metrology certification mark. If the certificate is from a provincial or lower-level testing agency, it must also have the authorization mark of a national or provincial product quality supervision and inspection center.

3. Check whether the sample photo is consistent with the original.

4. Also pay attention to the identification results.

In particular, if the jade is A-grade, it will be marked as a jade pendant or bracelet, etc. Some will also be marked with Jade Pendant (A) or Jade Bracelet (A) at the end. For example, our company's certificate is marked in the latter form. If it is not, fuzzy processing will be used and only jadeite will be noted in the result, but the fluorescence item will indicate the presence of fluorescence, or during the magnified inspection, it will be noted that there is a groove-like structure on the surface. In fact, other gemstones that have undergone optimization treatment also have similar situations. Consumers are requested to pay special attention. (No one dares to offend the one who makes money)

5. Because there is no unified national standard, jade identification is generally not graded. (Be careful that someone may make things worse)

6. Several basic identification bases in the certificate include:

Total weight, cut, refractive index, density, optical characteristics, magnification inspection, precious metal detection, notes must be tested, if not tested, please indicate the reason.

7. By the way, some projects will not be evaluated and will be expressed as "best".

In some diamond grading certificates, some organizations do not comment on the cut and use ***** to indicate this. But when it reaches the previous owner, it becomes a 5-star cut. This also requires special attention.

In addition, there is no comprehensive standardization in the format of appraisal certificates across the country, so the appraisal certificates of other authoritative appraisal institutions may be different, but the most important things are the name, address, contact number, and inquiry method of the testing agency, which should be on every genuine appraisal certificate. Please pay attention to this when purchasing in the future.

Some friends may think that the appraisal certificate with fine workmanship and high quality is authentic. Please do not fall into this misunderstanding.

The authenticity of an appraisal certificate does not depend on its workmanship, but on whether it is a certificate authenticated by an authoritative appraisal center, and of course, it also depends on the professional ethics of the appraisers.
