Beautiful jade can always touch the hearts of lovers! but! There are always some bad people on earth who make fakes! Whenever customers send us pictures of B-grade bracelets/pendants for us to identify and appraise their prices, they will also ask, how much is the jade worth? We could only tell him reluctantly that what he brought was B-grade jadeite. Imagine their expressions, it was as if the whole earth was cracked! What is A, B, C, B+C, D grade jadeite? Grade A: Natural jadeite that has not been chemically treated. Its composition, structure, color, and transparency all retain their natural properties. The shape of the jadeite has only been changed through mechanical processing. It has collection value. B-grade jadeite: low-grade jadeite that has been treated with strong acid to remove impurities and then solidified with epoxy resin. Its structure has been destroyed and its color and quality will deteriorate after a certain period of time. C grade jade: Jade that has been treated with artificial dyes. The color is concentrated in the cracks. Customers can easily observe the color distribution in a thread-like manner in a dark field environment with transmitted light. After a certain period of time, its color quality will deteriorate. B+C goods: This type of jade is a product that is both color-changed and dyed. Its production method is to inject the prepared dye solution into the B goods after the yellowing process. It is not subjected to any gluing process and is heated again to dye the object with a new green color. It is then washed and treated with strong gluing again. B+C goods are mostly remedial measures taken because the green color of B goods is too light or there is too little green. Its characteristic is that the colors lose their natural authenticity, appear dull and fake, and extremely unnatural. D-grade jade refers to green minerals that are not jade. They are similar to and resemble jade, and are made into jade-like decorative objects. No matter from the depth of color, hardness, specific gravity, structure to value, it cannot be compared with jadeite. Australian jade, natural green glass, Malaysian jade, serpentine, etc. are all colored stones. How to identify B-grade jadeite: 1. Transparency: B-grade jadeite is mostly translucent to slightly transparent, but its transparency decreases when put into water and it feels like wax. The internal structure is not clear, but by looking through natural jade, one can see its internal loofah-like network structure. 2. Luster: B-grade jade has a dull luster and lacks the brightness and wateriness of natural jade. It looks like plastic. 3. Feel: When you touch B-grade jadeite repeatedly with your hands, it feels warm and smooth like glass, but it does not have the wet and slippery feeling of natural jadeite. 4. Sound: When two large pieces of jadeite are placed against each other, the B-grade jadeite will make a hoarse sound like cracked porcelain. 5. Observation under a magnifying glass: Under a 10x magnifying glass, the surface of B-grade jade is covered with spider-web-like tiny cracks. If polishing is not in place, epoxy resin residue (milky white waxy substance) will still be visible on the surface. How to identify C-grade jadeite: ⒈ When you first look at C-grade jadeite, you’ll intuitively feel that its color is exaggerated and unnatural; ⒉ When observed with a magnifying glass under ordinary light, the color of C-grade jadeite is not attached to the inside of the crystal, but to the surface of the crystal, or accumulated and attached to the cracks of the jadeite, with no color roots; ⒊C-grade jadeite has a rich color, but becomes lighter and paler as you go deeper into the jadeite. 4. In the rough areas of the cracks, the color obviously deepens or lightens; ⒌ When observed through a color filter under incandescent light, the green color of C goods will turn into light red, red, brown-red or colorless. The price difference of different B-grade jadeite is 10 times The investigation found that there are great differences in the prices of B-goods: the same white bracelet can be expensive at 1,200 to 3,000 yuan per piece, with little room for bargaining, while mid-range ones are 500 to 600 yuan each, and the cheapest are only 200 to 300 yuan. The prices of various types of B-grade pendants vary even more greatly. For a leaf pendant of the same size, the expensive one costs more than 1,000 yuan, and the cheapest one costs around 100 yuan, a difference of 10 times. Based on the texture of raw materials, added materials, and level of carving, B-grade jade is divided into different grades; moreover, the grade rules will also change with changes in the market. Currently, the most expensive one is the pure B-grade jadeite with light green or dark green color. It has only been injected with glue and bleached, and the carving technique is equivalent to that of A-grade jadeite. The reason is that the status of color factors in the value system of A-grade jade is increasing. No matter how poor the quality of natural jade is, as long as it has some green, its value will double. Merchants rarely choose similar products to make B-grade jade. Similar B-grade jades currently on the market are all stocks from the first few years. Disadvantages of B-grade Jadeite 1. B-grade jadeite is only worth wearing, not worth collecting, and will not appreciate in value. To collect gemstones, they must be natural. 2. Compared with A-grade jadeite, B-grade jadeite has many disadvantages even when worn: for example, it will turn yellow over time; the process of bleaching, injection of glue and dyeing requires chemical reactions, and consumers may face the possibility of skin health problems after wearing it for a long time. This is especially true for consumers with skin allergies, who should wear it with caution. As the jewelry market is not yet fully regulated, counterfeiting techniques are becoming more and more sophisticated, and the types of counterfeiting are emerging in an endless stream, making it difficult to guard against them. As a consumer, it is important to remind you that when buying jade or jewelry in any market, you must go to a reputable brand store or shopping mall, and you must have a jewelry appraisal certificate or quality inspection certificate issued by an authority for quality inspection, such as the National Jewelry and Jade Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, provincial and municipal quality supervision jewelry inspection centers, etc. fcgc66 fcpf18 |
