1.A-grade goods

Optimized jade also belongs to Grade A jade and does not need to be proved in the certificate. The main optimization methods are: Bleaching: It means reducing jade in dilute acid to "clean" impurities on the surface of jade. The structural damage is only on the surface and is slight, with no filler (except waxing during polishing). Intrusion treatment: Increase transparency, improve appearance, and fill surface gaps.

2. B-grade goods

The deep white filled jade is bleached from dirty (yellowish brown), coarse-grained, loose-structured jade, and then vacuum injected to fill the pores eroded by acid solution.

Identification: The processed jade is very abnormal, the green color is very bright and there are no impurities. Strong acid bleaching causes serious damage to the structure of jade. Before use, a large amount of polymer must be injected to reinforce it. The certificate must state "Processing".

3. C goods

Currently, the most common jade products on the market are dyed jade, mainly dyeing white jade green, or adding some green as appropriate.

Identification: Use a magnifying glass to check whether the green dye is concentrated in the loofah-like cracks and whether the green density is uneven. The original color of jadeite is relatively poor, and the bright colors produced by dyeing should also be marked as "processed".

4.D goods

In addition, there is a kind of jade, that is, fake jade, which has a thin layer of natural jade on the top and the lower layer is filled with colored substances or resin interlayers. So, strictly speaking, it is not jade at all and costs only a few dollars.

Place the jadeite under fluorescent light and observe the color changes. The color of A and C goods remains unchanged, while the color of B goods is fluorescent or white. C goods are dyed, and the color is distributed along the cracks, unevenly, and can be seen with careful observation with the naked eye.
