Bought jade for nothing? These four products need to be purchased with caution

1. "Cheap" goods will only depreciate

Jade is a wonderful creation of nature. It has various shapes and forms, no fixed shape or color, so its quality is divided into different grades.

In the jade industry, there is a saying that "a touch of green is worth a fortune", which means that the quality of most jade materials is not very good. 2. Carefully select new pit species

To put it bluntly, the difference between old pit varieties and new pit varieties is the difference of time. If the new pit seeds are quietly subjected to the weathering of natural forces and the erosion of water for hundreds or thousands of years, they can actually be planted in the old pit.

However, because the jade market is booming and the appreciation potential of jade is increasing by 20% every year, many new types of jade have appeared on the market.

Planting seeds in new pits is like unripe bananas, wasting good material. Not only is the water head not ideal, but the most critical thing is that the internal structure of the jade is loose. With polishing and carving and the passage of time, it is likely to continue to change internally, resulting in discoloration and other conditions.

3. Selectively purchase inlaid jadeite

Jadeite has no knots or carvings. Generally speaking, relatively perfect materials only require simple processing. Therefore, when we see some very complicated carvings on the market, or jadeite that is directly inlaid on the bottom and the back is sealed, we should be vigilant.

Is it because the jade material originally has many flaws, or the bottom surface is beaten very thin, or there are many cracks, cotton, impurities, etc., so such post-production processing is adopted to make the material look cleaner.

Of course, there is no need to worry when you see carvings, because some carvings can add the icing on the cake, and carvings can give jade more beautiful meanings and a sense of story. However, you need to be cautious when purchasing fully inlaid jade jewelry.

4. Don’t believe high-end materials being sold at low prices!

In the jade market, there will never be such thing as high quality goods sold at low prices. Because everyone is an expert in jade, everyone knows the quality and value of a piece of jade. Even if a suitable buyer cannot be found at the moment, the seller would rather keep it than sell it at a low price!

Therefore, when you go to buy jadeite, if the other party gives a quote much lower than the market price, you should be cautious. It may be that the jadeite symbiotic mineral is counterfeiting jade, like good quality water jade, which is indeed easy to be mistaken for the real thing. Or it may be B goods that have been manually processed, or even C goods. Anyway, the merchant will not let you lose money!
