If you can't even tell the difference between A, B, and C grade jade, how can you buy jade?

The most basic knowledge point in identifying jadeite counterfeit is called "ABC grades of jadeite".

Many people may have heard of it, but why do I specifically bring out this piece of knowledge here and explain it in detail in an entire program?

This is because if we learn the knowledge points of ABC goods and have an in-depth understanding of them, it will be convenient for us to learn other jade knowledge in the future and it will be of great help in identifying counterfeits.

Before explaining the knowledge point of ABC goods, let me talk to you first. I wonder if you have ever thought about what kind of jade is of higher quality?

In fact, many people will talk about many concepts in response to this issue, and there is also a lot of information on the Internet. Here is a very simple term that I summarized myself. What does it mean?

When the water head of the jade is very good, it is a high-quality jade. When the color of the jade is very good, it is also a high-quality jade. If the jade has both good water head and good color, then it is a high-quality and expensive jade.

Isn’t it simple to understand this way? Then let’s talk about the concept of ABC goods.

What kind of jade is A-grade? A-grade jade is pure natural, untreated jade. It is called A-grade jade. Just like we usually see a sign in many counters that says "Natural Jade A Grade".

This A-grade product is not what we usually call an A-grade watch. Please don't get confused with it.

Next, let me talk to you about what B-goods are? B-grade jade is jade that has been bleached and injected with glue. The purpose of bleaching and glue injection is to improve the quality of jadeite.

So what is C goods? C-grade jade is jade that has been dyed. As the name suggests, dyeing is to improve the color of jade so that it can be sold at a high price.

Think about it, the processed jadeite we usually come across, are they generally B-grade or C-grade?

When I am giving lectures on site, students actually have various reactions. Some tell me that Teacher Zhang is a B-grade product, and some say that Teacher Zhang is a C-grade product. I will then guide everyone and ask them to think about it.

At the beginning, I asked everyone a question: what kind of jade is the most expensive? Is it that the water content and color are good? Therefore, the jadeite that we generally encounter, which has been processed, must be pursuing the maximization of value.

So the jadeite we usually encounter is a combination of B-grade and C-grade jadeite, which has good water content and good color. We call it B+C grade.

But there is one thing I want to tell you. For the convenience of our daily study, including the convenience of word of mouth in the market, many people now call this kind of jade B-grade jade, not B+C.

So when we hear B-grade goods, it actually means that the color may have also been processed.

There is also another type called D goods. We rarely encounter D goods nowadays, so you can just hear about it.

Generally speaking, D-grade jade is a kind of coated jade. The jade itself is not green, but has a layer of film coated on the surface. This is a very early counterfeiting technology, so we don’t need to study it now.

Some students may ask, Teacher Zhang, please tell me about jadeite. As we now know that diamonds can be artificially synthesized, including DE BEERS which has already launched artificial synthetic diamond brands to cater to the market. So, will there be artificial synthetic jadeite in the collection of jadeite?

I can tell you clearly that there is artificially synthesized jade. In 1984, GE company in the United States artificially synthesized jade.

However, the cost of artificially synthesizing jade is extremely high, and the synthetic jade actually does not appear to be particularly good in terms of water content.

So in fact, we have not been researching artificial synthetic jade until now, and we don’t see artificial synthetic jade on the market, so there is no need to worry about it.

We just know that what we have in our market now is jadeite that has been injected with glue and dyed.

Let me first make a simple summary. What is the use of what we have learned about ABC grade jadeite?

First, I have provided you with a very clear angle, which is to analyze jadeite counterfeiting from the different characteristics of jadeite counterfeiting. This is the first point.

Secondly, after we learn about the different grades of jadeite, we can avoid being deceived in the future when collecting or trading jadeite.
