I have collected the rough jadeite for two years, and now I can’t let it go after it has been carved and processed!

I have had this piece of raw material for almost two years, but I have never had it processed by anyone. The main reason is that I couldn't think of a suitable subject, so I kept it in my collection. But recently I thought of it and sent it to the master to take a look.

The master pointed out several problems to me. The first was the shape: because it is a colored material, if you want to make it into a correct shape, you will feel bad if you grind off some color. If it is an ordinary thin material, you can make it according to the shape and then use the inlaid gold frame to make up for the shape when the finished product is inlaid. However, this material is triangular in shape and thick, so it is definitely not suitable for overall inlay. At most, it can be inlaid with a buckle.

The second is color: at first glance, this material seems to be full of color, but in fact it is green on both sides with white meat in the middle. Because it is of high quality, the color can pass through, so the whiteness is not particularly obvious. However, the problem does exist, and there are several dirty spots. No matter how you carve, the color will be removed and the white will be left. No matter how you do it, it will be a loss. How can you retain more color, make some changes to the meat, remove the flaws, and make the existence of the white meat less embarrassing? This is also a big difficulty.

I won’t ask about the subject matter. I have decided on a lot of things. After much thought, I finally decided to make a lotus pod. The shape is just right. The position of the lotus seeds in the middle is exactly at the position of the white meat. Then I made the decision happily with the chef and started working without saying anything else!

This was carved and painted at the same time, also to avoid my heart from bleeding, so I was very cautious and careful!

This is a semi-finished product, it looks like this roughly. Now all it needs is grinding and polishing. It also maximizes the use of the original stone itself without too much extravagance and waste. I am very satisfied with this work!

The finished product is here. Actually, I took a lot of pictures. I really like it, but I want to appreciate it by myself, so I will just post two for you to see and appreciate!

??Lotus Pod Poetry??

Orioles sing in the early spring, and lotus pods are small and green.

The green water is just playing with the wind, and the horse's hooves are drunk on the shallow grass.

After fading away the greasy powder among the flowers, it has a natural and elegant temperament.

Ask Yi Jinshu where he is going? The jade beauty around your fingers for three lives.
