Does Jadeite Have Collection Value?

Does Jadeite Have Collection Value?

First of all, no matter what collectible items are on the market now, they are rare, as the saying goes, "scarcity makes things valuable." Many of the antiques we see are rare metals, etc. Their characteristic is that they are rare.

Why is jade still considered to have collection value?

In fact, many people don’t know that jade mineral resources are limited. 90% of the jade on the market is produced in Myanmar, and the remaining 10% is produced in the Middle East and other countries. The best quality jade in the world is produced in Myanmar.

When it comes to collection value, of course the better the quality of the jade, the higher its collection value. But not all jade has collection value. In fact, in the jade market there are jades that are as cheap as dozens of dollars and as expensive as hundreds of millions. Of course, the more expensive the jade, the higher the quality. The output will naturally be lower.

Generally, jade lovers who understand jade know that good jade should have good quality, water color, and thus its value will of course be higher.

Secondly, most of the jadeite on the market now are basically mid-range jadeite. These jadeite basically have no collection value. They can be used as decoration, but if you want jadeite with collection value, then it must meet several conditions. First, the water quality must be good, at least ice quality or above, and second, the color must be positive. The positive color here means that no matter what color it is, it looks bright, not dull. Third, the workmanship must be good. The workmanship means the work of a master carver with the best skills, which is the so-called good material and good workmanship.

If it is a rough stone, the first condition is that the mine must be genuine, not the so-called new mine. Jade friends who understand rough stones know that playing with rough stones depends on the mine, and now several mines in Myanmar have been exhausted. If you happen to have material from this mine, your rough stone will appreciate in value from the mine level. The second is the overall size of the rough stone, the performance of the skin, whether it has color bands, loose flowers, ringworm, etc., the overall water quality, etc.

Having said so much, I hope that everyone will treat it correctly. If your financial conditions allow, you can buy it for collection, but remember not to invest. If you want to buy jade as an investment, please do so within your means.
