1. Drop of water. If you drop a drop of water on jade, the bead will protrude higher. The better the jade, the higher the water drop will protrude.

2. Look at the surface texture. The structure of natural jade is clear. The better the water quality, the less obvious the structure. Even after polishing, surface scratches and polishing lines are neatly arranged in the same direction.

3. A bowl of water

Tie the jade with silk thread; place a cup of water on a small accurate electronic scale and reset it to zero; place the jade in the cup and note the weight; lift the jade with silk thread, not exceeding the water surface but keeping it away from the bottom of the cup and note the weight again.

Then, divide the weight of the jadeite placed in water by the weight of the jadeite suspended in water to get a value. If this value is between 3.3 and 3.7, congratulations, the jadeite is A-grade and authentic.
