There is a wide variety of jadeite in the jade market, but there is also the phenomenon of counterfeit goods being mixed with genuine ones. Among them, A goods, B goods and B+C goods are mixed together. If you are not careful, you will become a victim. To identify jadeite, you need a certain amount of experience. Now I will teach you a few ways to identify jadeite: 1. Listening Tie the jade with a rope, place an agate stick or coin next to your ear and gently tap it. If you hear a clear and pleasant sound, it is most likely A-grade jade. If the sound is low and muffled, it is B-grade or B+C-grade jade. But one thing to note is that if jade is soaked in strong acid for a relatively short time, the sound will be very crisp, and other methods must be used to identify it. 2. Observation of color "Improper color and shape, floating color without roots, and inconsistent quality" are the distinctive features of B-grade and B+C-grade jade: first, the color of the jade is too bright or the base color is too clean; second, the boundary between the green and the base color is blurred, and the color has a feeling of floating on it; third, if the jade clearly has particles, but has good water head and is too clean, it violates the laws of natural jade. If it meets the above three characteristics, it can almost be concluded that it is not natural A-grade jadeite. 3. Touch lines After natural jade is polished, it will have features similar to orange peel, with multiple bumps and depressions of different sizes and directions, and the boundary between the bumps and depressions is a gradual and smooth transition. The opposite is true for B goods and B+C goods. The boundary between the ridges and valleys is not a smooth transition, but is separated by a crack, with acid etching marks like a spider web. In addition to observation, some things can also be felt by touch. 4. Experimental Method Since B goods and B+C goods are injected with resin, the friction of the resin will generate static electricity, which can attract small pieces of paper. Rub the jadeite quickly on the rough cloth for about 30 seconds. When your hand can feel the heat, use the jadeite to attract small pieces of paper. If it can absorb paper scraps, it is a B-grade or B+C-grade jade. However, if it cannot absorb paper scraps, it does not mean that it is 100% A-grade jade. You still need to use other methods to identify it. In addition, color filters, magnifying glasses, spectroscopes, etc. should be used to assist in identification. If there is a jadeite that you like but you really can't tell its authenticity, then take it to a specialized testing department for scientific testing and data analysis. After all, the key to identifying jadeite is experience. The more you touch it and see it, the more you will be able to identify it naturally. fcgc66 fcpf18 |
