Five bats fly up and down around the copper coins with their wings spread out, agile and free, forming the traditional auspicious pattern "Five Blessings Come to the Door". The term "Five Blessings" comes from the Book of Documents: "One is longevity, two is wealth, three is health, four is good virtue, and five is a good end to life." It means that in life, only those who have all five blessings of longevity, wealth, health, good virtue and a good end are blessed. The ancients yearned for the five blessings very much, and patterns of "Five Blessings" can be seen everywhere in jade carvings and clothing, hoping that they and their families would have a smooth, perfect and blessed life.
