Jade Appreciation | Jadeite bracelets from the Taipei National Palace Museum, each one is stunning

Ji Yun once wrote in his Notes from the Yuewei Thatched Cottage, "When I was young,...Yunnan jadeite was not considered jade at that time. It was just like Lantian and Ganhuang, which were forcibly called jade. Now it is considered a treasure, and its price is far higher than that of real jade." Ji Yun was born in the second year of the Yongzheng reign (1724), and this article was completed around the fifty-eighth year of the Qianlong reign (1793). From this, it can be seen that jadeite has been loved by Chinese people since the Qianlong period.

Since then, jadeite has been the most favorite type of jade among Chinese people. Currently in the domestic and overseas markets, the price of ancient jadeite artifacts is much higher than that of jade artifacts of the same period.
