Jade investment has now become the hottest trend. Over the years, the price of jade has increased many times compared with the same period in previous years. However, even if investors have a glass-type fine jewelry in their hands, they may not be very happy. Since there is a lack of secondary trading markets in China, even if you hold jadeite worth millions, you may not be able to exchange it for cash. According to normal rules, its price should increase by at least 30% every year, but based on the specific increase, its growth rate has far exceeded doubled, which is what surprised many people in the industry. Especially after the earthquake in Myanmar, its price has increased even faster. Almost all manufacturers have raised their prices and changed the price of their products more than once. The surge in raw material prices actually started in 2008, and the price increases at the Myanmar public auction twice a year are also normal, so this phenomenon also reflects that it takes about half a year for the price to be transmitted to the retail market. Therefore, these accessories have seen such an astonishing increase in price. Coupled with some other investment channels, because of economic reasons, people are not very vigilant, so many people with abundant financial resources have joined the ranks of jade investment, which has invisibly pushed the market higher. Although its price has been rising sharply and more and more people are investing in it. But people’s purposes are different now. In the past, people chose to buy this kind of accessories mainly because they liked it and wanted to use it to enhance their appearance. But nowadays people buy mainly for collection and investment, and it is not ruled out that some people buy just to follow the trend. Because raw materials are becoming increasingly scarce, the growth rate of high-end accessories can be said to be very fast, so the number of customers purchasing high-end accessories has increased a lot compared to before. However, these investors also face a problem, that is, the accessories they own have appreciated in value, so how can they cash them in? The main reason is that there is no professional secondary trading platform in China. Moreover, every store charges a different price for a piece of jewelry, which makes many collectors feel uncertain. Because jade is different from other products in terms of quality assurance and it has no pricing standard, investors dare not easily cash it out in shops in the market. Some people choose to send their items to pawn shops, but the prices at pawn shops are generally lower than the market price, so it is not cost-effective to cash out in this way. Auction companies or jadeite sessions are not interested in small items worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. They prefer more high-end and valuable items.
