A friend gave me some scraps that he didn’t want anymore. After he finished carving them, he cried!

A young jade carver had a friend who was in the raw stone business. He occasionally cut a few pieces of stone for a profit and his business was pretty good. One day, the friend gave him a few scraps. He thought that at most he could polish them into a free-form piece or something. Unexpectedly, the jade carver had a great imagination and made a stunning effect with the scraps!

It's an inconspicuous piece of material, with no water quality at all, and it seems to have many defects. Fortunately, it has a bean green base, and it can be a good work after being carved. The jade carver wanted to carve the dragon as the theme from the beginning, so he drew a draft first:

The big shape is still good.

Start carving carefully, and handle the details very carefully.

The whole dragon is majestic and lifelike

I started polishing. Unfortunately, the raw stone itself was not old enough and lacked hardness, so it was difficult to show more details. If I wasn’t careful, it would be polished!

In short, a piece of stone close to the trash can has made a qualitative leap after some carving, and my friend feels a little regretful at this time.

The second piece of scrap was a yellow and green bracelet scrap. The bracelet had already made a lot of money, so naturally no one cared about this scrap with a few cracks.

The jade carver got a hunch from the ancient court culture and immediately had a design.

The various colorful carvings are used to perfection, without wasting any material or color, and it looks so natural.

With a wooden base, who can tell that this was once a piece of abandoned scrap?

This piece of scrap is too thin and small, and there are some small stone patterns on the edges. The color of the yellow jade is not very pure, it is more like brown, which is absolutely weird. But the base is still good and delicate. In addition, the boundaries between the yellow and white parts are clear, which is suitable for color matching.

Combining the characteristics of the material and giving full play to the imagination of the jade carver, the first draft came out.

This kind of small material requires the jade carver to have excellent skills and a steady hand, otherwise the details will easily fall apart! After comparing it with the original stone, isn’t this semi-finished product amazing?

This material is ingeniously crafted while retaining the volume of precious raw materials to the maximum extent. The gradually changing colors and the sense of presence displayed in a calm manner are clearly layered and superimposed on each other. The conception is indeed ingenious and the Three Buddhas are interpreted very well.

Generous friends would probably have fainted from tears after seeing this. They don’t know how much of this material they have sold cheaply in the past. If they could make such a work like this jade carver, wouldn’t they be giving away a lot of money to others? It seems that my eyesight, which I am so proud of, needs some practice!

There are many examples like this of the ugly duckling turning into a white swan. However, there are many good horses but few good horse trainers. Even the best materials may encounter unreliable jade carvers. Good design and carving can bring out the greatest value of jade. I sincerely hope that I have such a jade carver friend!
