B-Grade Jade

Identification method

Look at the surface: If you look closely at the B-grade jade, you can find that its surface has bumpy patterns, which are traces left by acid immersion. Natural A-grade jade must be smoother and more delicate.

Look at the structure: When you check the inside of B goods through light, you will find that its structure is loose and not tight. Some of the goods are filled with too much gum, and you can't even see the mineral structure, making it appear sticky and fuzzy.

C-Grade Jade

C-grade jadeite is made by dyeing the raw materials. In the past, it was mostly dyed into emerald green to impersonate high-grade jadeite. In recent years, in order to reduce consumer suspicion, dyed jadeite has tended to be gray-green, blue-green and other lower-grade jadeite colors.

Identification method

Look: The color of C-grade jadeite is not pure, usually bluish or yellowish, and only exists in the shallow layer of the surface. Among them, the color of the cracks will be slightly richer.

Listen: If there is a muffled sound when you tap the jade gently, it may be dyed C-grade jade. This is because some stones need to be washed with acid and alkali chemicals before dyeing, and this operation will destroy the internal structure of the jade.
