We received three pieces of jadeite raw stones. After discussion, we decided to start cutting the yellow sand skin one first. After grinding and cutting, two small lavender pieces were left: After cutting, you can see that the quality of the original stone is average, the fleshy crystals are a bit coarse, but there is a faint purple color, a light green spot, and there are cracks on the jade. Because the purple color is not strong, I decided not to cut it any further. There are three reasons for this: first, the principle of making it as big as possible; second, the material is average, and if it is cut into small pieces, its value will be lower; third, if the light purple is cut too thin, the purple color will run away! Taking into account the shape, cracks and color of the original stone, and after several creative ideas, we finally decided to make a "Peach Offering" pendant: the bottom of the original stone is perfectly made into a peach, and a playful monkey is squatting on it, holding a ruyi, money and a small fairy peach in its hands. The green part is made into a green leaf, and the yellow part is made into money and ruyi, with the monkey's tail used to avoid the cracks on the jade. The back echoes the theme of the front, with a large Ruyi-shaped leaf and leaf stem to complete the theme. After finishing the rough outline, the overall concept of the theme can be seen. The material on the back is of high perfection, and of course it is mainly smooth. The craftsmanship here is how to carve the peach lines and Ruyi lines smoothly. Generally, in hand carving, after the rough work is completed, the design theme must be outlined on the jade with a water pen again, so that a better grasp can be obtained when carving the details. Tree stems and leaves are the basic skills for flower carving, but it is also the most difficult craft. To carve smooth lines requires not only talent but also time accumulation! After the carving was completed, a cute and playful little monkey and a plump and smooth fairy peach formed the "Offering Peach" Although the crystals of the material are a bit rough, "nine out of ten purple ones are rough", so there is a certain degree of risk in such material. I look forward to the effect after polishing. If the polishing can cover the crystals, it will still be a good pendant! Let’s take a quick look at the fur products: a close-up of the little monkey, isn’t it cute and playful! A piece of yellow jadeite on the side looks like a ruyi and money. The little monkey holds the money and ruyi on the fairy peach and cutely presents them to his owner! A light green spot on the material is shaped like a leaf, which is smooth and thick and matches the style of the entire pendant! The long tail is actually used to avoid a long crack. If I don’t tell you, can you see it? fcgc66 fcpf18 |
