Green Tara

The statue of Green Tara is dressed in Bodhisattva attire. Her whole body is emerald green, and she wears a small five-Buddha crown on her head. In her left hand, she holds a blooming Ubala flower (blue lotus). Her body radiates rainbow light. She wears various necklaces and jewels, and colorful celestial clothes. She wears a heavy skirt. Her image is luxurious and beautiful, kind and solemn. She is the color of the Tibetan Buddhism's karma department, which is also the color of the body of Amoghasiddhi Buddha. According to legend, Green Tara was transformed from the tears of Avalokitesvara's right eye and can save people from eight disasters. It is quite common in Buddhist jade carvings.
