Jadeite Grade Classification: C/D

Jadeite Grade Classification: C/D

1. C goods

Dyed jade is the most common type on the market, mainly dyed green on a white base, or with some appropriate green added. Identification: Use a magnifying glass to check and you will find that the green dye is concentrated in the loofah-like cracks, and the green color is uneven.

If the original color of jadeite is relatively poor, but it is dyed to produce a bright color, it should also be marked as "processed".

2. D goods

In addition, there is a type of jade called D-grade jade, which is a kind of fake interlayer jade. It has a thin layer of natural jade on the top and a layer of colored substance or resin on the bottom. Therefore, strictly speaking, it is not jade at all and costs only a few yuan.

[Simple identification of A, B and C grade jadeite]

C goods have been dyed, so their color is distributed along the cracks in an uneven manner, which can be seen with the naked eye if observed carefully.
