Recording the process of a piece of floating green jadeite scraps transforming into a dragon-riding Guanyin

This piece of jadeite is of very good quality, with no cracks throughout, a light purple base, and a charming hint of floating green. Although the material is scrap, the quality of the water and base color are very good, and it is a typical small fine material!

After getting the material, the jade carving master had a detailed communication with the owner and understood that the owner wanted to carve it into a dragon Guanyin theme. Based on the owner's wishes as the direction of creation, the jade carving master designed two dragon Guanyin themes for the owner to choose from. They both use the floating green color as a flying dragon, and design the image of Guanyin on the flying dragon. The difference is that one is in the form of a standing Guanyin, and the other is in the form of a free Guanyin!

Finally, the owner of the treasure chose the design of a standing Guanyin. The appearance of this jade is relatively slender, which is more suitable for a standing Guanyin. After being carved, the pendant will have a better visual effect!

Jade carving masters use shallow carving to carve patterns. Generally, when carving pendants with the theme of Guanyin, the Guanyin pattern must be carefully carved to make Guanyin's appearance solemn and peaceful; the lines of the clothes must be carved smoothly and fluently; and the posture of Guanyin must be lively and vivid.

High-quality jade is generally polished to a full brightness. After this treatment, the jade will be covered with a layer of faint fluorescence, which is very beautiful and charming!
