Who says the surface color is not valuable? Look at the clever carving of the surface color of this jadeite raw stone, it is also very valuable!

The material is Damakan, tri-color, green, white and yellow, of very good quality. Unfortunately, the color is only the surface color, which is relatively thin. The material is relatively complete, and in fact it can be polished to make a big hole and worn directly, but jade cannot be made into a useful object without being carved. This kind of material will be very valuable if it is well carved.

Start designing: There is a large area of ​​bright green on the front, with white and cotton of varying shades above the green. The design is made into a lotus leaf, which can preserve the green color while using the curvature and curling of the lotus leaf to remove the cotton and white.

Start making the blank: the side is a large piece of white, hollowed out to make two small fishes, lotus branches and leaves, and a lotus flower. There is a small thin piece of yellow in the lower right corner, which cleverly forms the tail of a small fish.

There is a thick piece of yellow in the upper left corner of the material, which is hollowed out to form a lotus pod and a small dragonfly. Originally, there was a white lotus leaf with the intention of carving a small frog on it. But when I was carving, I found that the white was not deep enough, so I removed it and left a whole piece of green, which is simpler and better.

Back: There is a small crack at the bottom, and carving a lotus root and water splashes is just the right way to cover up the crack.

The carving is complete. Not polished yet. The finished product will be more beautiful after polishing.
