I am a jade carver. I carved two pieces of the same raw material of Damakan jadeite into a pair of worthless treasures.

Jade must be crafted, the craftsmanship must have meaning, and the meaning must be auspicious!

Jade is the most special of all jade artifacts. Each piece of jade is unique. Therefore, when we encounter a piece of material that can produce two or more similar carvings, we often choose the "same material and same workmanship" to make a pair of pieces or carvings of the same series of themes that echo each other. This will further highlight the uniqueness of jade!

Today I would like to share with you the carving process of these two pieces of jade rough materials. Because they are cut from the same material in two, their water quality and shape are similar - old glutinous icy yellow and green Damakan jade.

The jade carving master suggested that the owner use these two pieces of raw material with yellow and green characteristics to carve a pair of themed plaques, so that the finished products will have more meaning and market value. And designed the pair of cards shown in the picture above, "Harmony of Qin and Xiao".

The owner of the treasure fully agreed with the jade carving master's suggestion. For such a unique material, the design should have a theme with special meaning!

In terms of carving techniques, the jade carving master used shallow relief to carve the pattern, and used shallow lines to express a clear design layout. Two green areas were cleverly carved, and the rest of the part remained large-area smooth and plain, creating a kind of virtual and real dreamlike imagination, making the pendant more artistic!

The work is beautifully polished, the yellow and green tones on the jade are charming, the color separation is elegant and lively, and the "Harmony of Piano and Flute" theme carved on the jade seems to be integrated into the natural color of the jade, which is very artistic!

This pair of jade pendants with the theme of "Harmony of Zither and Flute" would be priceless treasures whether you keep it yourself or give it as a gift to a friend. What do you think?
