Lions and Ruyi, showing high-end oriental beauty

The material customized by Cuiyou this time has very good water quality and texture. Without any processing, the glue feeling is already sufficient.

In addition, it has a light sunny base, which is a sweet tone that is very pleasing to the eye.

But the defect of the material is also obvious, that is, the shape is not good !

Not only are the edges and corners sharp, but the height issues are also difficult to deal with. It can be said that it is the type that jade carvers love and hate!

Fortunately, the jade enthusiast who customized the piece did not have many requirements. He only emphasized that it should not conflict with his zodiac sign (pig), which gave the jade carver a lot of room to play.

However, some materials with unique shapes cannot be processed in the conventional way.

It must fit the trend of the material itself, but it cannot be too general, which poses a difficult problem for jade carvers.

After a period of deliberation, we finally decided on the theme of "Lion Lion (Everything Goes Well)"!

Although lions are exotic animals, they play an important role in Eastern culture!

At the entrance of some buildings where ancient officials lived, there were always two majestic stone lions.

It can be seen that lions were an extremely common choice for warding off evil spirits in ancient times!

Combining it with Ruyi, it symbolizes "everything goes as planned", which has the beautiful meaning of everything going as planned and failing, and resisting evil spirits from the outside world.

After the theme is determined, it is time to implement it.

The first step is to cleverly carve the top of the material into a crouching lion, weakening the original rigid sense of lines and filling the gap caused by the high and low positions.

The rest of the material has not been processed in a complicated way and is simply carved into a round and full Ruyi.

The Ruyi pattern on the back is not only beautiful, but also has the function of regulating water, allowing more light to penetrate the interior of the jade, making it more moist and transparent.

There are almost no unnecessary steps in the entire processing process, which ensures the integrity of the material to the greatest extent, and also perfectly solves the problem of the material being too angular.

Although the jade has not been polished at this time, we can already see that the effect is quite good.

After the final polishing is completed, the gum feel of the material is significantly improved compared to its original state, and the gloss is very eye-catching.

I wonder if the jade friends in front of the screen like this design?
