Does colored jadeite necessarily have bad quality?

Does colored jadeite necessarily have bad quality? Sometimes I feel that the chat group is a very interesting place. Occasionally, a group member will take out a piece of colorful goods with good quality and send it to the group for everyone to discuss together. Then someone will often jump out and say that this piece of goods is not good, look at mine, and then take out a piece with a light background, put it on the newspaper and say, look how transparent it is, you can even see the words below.

There are always many people who associate transparency with jadeite species, and think that transparent things are of better species. First of all, we must admit that if they are at the same level, things of better species will usually have a little higher transparency. I think the biggest reason for such misunderstanding is probably that in many jadeite teaching videos, a piece of newspaper is usually put underneath, and then a piece of jadeite is placed on top, and it is said that the species is determined by the degree of transparency, and if it does not reach that level, then it is that species.

I think this is a good teaching tutorial for beginners, but you can't stick to this principle for the rest of your life, because jadeite can be divided into many situations. For example, if the color of a piece is very rich and the thickness is sufficient, no matter how good the quality and transparency are, you can't see the words on the newspaper below. Just like when a cup of water is brewed into coffee, its transparency will decrease.

What I said may not be very intuitive, so let me give you an example. Has anyone ever worn the kind of sunglasses that can change color? The kind that when you are indoors or in an environment with weak ultraviolet rays, the lenses are transparent. When you go outdoors or to a place with strong ultraviolet rays, it will turn into colored glass. Strictly speaking, the lenses are not necessarily glass. We call them lenses. It is the same lens whether it is transparent or colored.

So the quality is the same. We regard the lens as jade and your eyes as words on a newspaper. You buy a pair of photochromic glasses and take a selfie outdoors and post it on your Moments. Your friend tells you that the quality of the lens is not good and your eyes cannot be seen. Then you go home and post another selfie. At this time, your friend does not know that it is the same lens, so he says, "Look, the quality of this lens is so good, I can even see your eyelashes." This is the story. So, are the quality of colored and opaque things really bad?
