Where is the cheapest place to buy jade? Is it Myanmar?

Where is the cheapest place to buy jadeite? It must be from Myanmar. Jadeite is produced in Myanmar. I suddenly remembered something. Two years ago, a friend of mine went to Tahiti for a trip. When she came back, she was wearing a black pearl ring on her hand, which was about 12 carats. I asked her how much it cost her, and she said it cost more than 70,000. Friends who know about pearls can tell us in the comment section how much more expensive she paid.

Another time, I was drinking tea at a friend's house and met a buddy who was wearing a piece of beeswax weighing about 20 grams. He said he bought it when he was traveling in Russia. Guess how much he spent on it? That’s more than RMB 20,000. So why is it not cheaper to buy jewelry at the place of origin than in China? There are two reasons for this.

First of all, the place of origin only produces raw materials, not a processing and wholesale distribution center. All gemstones and jade must be processed before they can become beautiful jewelry. Before processing, diamonds are just glowing carbon elements. More than 90% of the world's finished jade products are processed domestically. Those carved flower pieces that you see in Mandalay are most likely sent from Guangdong.

The second point is, what is everyone’s identity when they arrive in a foreign country? Tourists, what are tourists for? Don't be fooled by those dark-skinned and honest old Burmese people. They can all compete for the Oscar for Best Actor. There is a Jiaowan Market in Mandalay. Usually, Chinese people sit in the stalls to collect materials, and the old Burmese people come to deliver the materials with stones. Normally, both sides haggle over the price. As long as they see someone taking pictures with their mobile phones, those old Burmese people can get into the mood in one second.

As a tourist, why do you go there? He knows it better than you do. The trap has been dug long ago. It is a small matter to buy it at a high price. If you buy a fake, you can't even find the person who bought it back. So when buying jade, don't worry about the origin. The domestic ones are the best.
