There are three "brothers" in jade with very similar names, namely, Oily Green Jade, Flower Green Jade, and Dry Green Jade. Don’t be fooled by their similar names, they look different, they are not "real brothers", and their value is also different! Today, I will talk to you about the three brothers of the “Qing generation”! Flower green jadeite The base color of Huaqing jadeite is green or colorless. The color depth varies, sometimes sparse and sometimes dense, and the green mostly appears in a bluish hue, with a more "flowery" distribution, as shown in the figure below. The biggest difference between it and dry green and oily green is that the green color is uneven. Some are denser, some are more sparse, and the colors are white, black, dark, and light. Huaqing jade belongs to the medium and low-grade jade (because the quality is generally poor), and most of it is used to make ornaments and pendants. The price of anthocyanin jade pendants with poor color and water quality is generally less than one thousand yuan, while the price of slightly better ones ranges from several thousand to ten or twenty thousand yuan. There are also very small number of anthocyanin jade pendants with both good color and water quality, and the price often starts from six figures. Moreover, the texture of the Huaqing variety is wide, including various types of jade from ice type to bean type, among which glutinous type and fine bean type are the most common. Generally speaking, the value of the lavender jadeite with fine jade texture, bright green color, soft and smooth feel is relatively high and has a certain collection value. So, how to distinguish between white-based green jadeite and flower-green jadeite? The two are mainly distinguished by the distribution characteristics of their colors. The main characteristic of white-based green jadeite is "clear distinction between green and white", while the green of flower green jadeite is unevenly distributed with various colors and shapes, the most common of which is spotted, and the green is not uniformly dense or sparse, and the shades are uncertain. Dry green jadeite Ganqing jadeite is usually full green with uneven distribution, often accompanied by black spots, black lines, and black blocks. The jadeite crystal particles are large and the light transmittance is very poor. It is usually classified as mid- to low-end jadeite. Because of its green color, it is loved by people and is often used to make thinner jewelry. Refer to the following figure Because the color of Ganqing jade is very rich, many people still like this kind of jade. However, because the content of jadeite in Ganqing jade is very low, its overall price will be very low, ranging from tens of yuan to tens of thousands of yuan. Those dry green jadeite jewelry with good carving and a certain degree of transparency are considered to be the better ones in this category. The color of dry green jadeite is dark green and pleasing to the eye. The color is pure and not evil. The grains are well crystallized and the particles are often larger. The granular or columnar crystal particles can be identified with the naked eye. The most prominent defect of dry green jadeite is its poor transparency. Sunlight cannot shine in, and light can only penetrate about 1 mm from the surface. The texture is rough and the bottom is dry. The sound of knocking on the raw stone is dry and rough. The main mineral component of dry green jadeite is sodium chrome pyroxene. Tielongsheng became known in the late 1990s. Because its main mineral component is sodium chrome pyroxene and its microstructure is the same as other dry green jadeite, from the perspective of gemology, Tielongsheng actually belongs to the dry green jadeite. Because of its rich color and low transparency, dry green jadeite is generally used as a carving subject, and an 18K gold substrate is used to enhance its firmness and improve its aesthetics. Oily green jadeite The color tone of Oily Green Jade tends to be dark series, among which the gray tone appears darker and has a gray and evil feeling. This color does not seem to have much direct connection with green. The color tends to be more "gray" or "gray-black". Some Oily Green Jade has some blue components mixed in the gray. The Oil Green type of jade can be divided into three grades: high, medium and low. Among them, the high-grade Oil Green type of jade is quite rare. Its color is very uniform, the transparency is very good, and there is a certain fluorescence of the Oil Green type of jade. Although the color of this Oil Green type of jade belongs to the gray tone, the tone does not have a gray and dull feeling, but reveals masculinity and righteousness in the gray. The price of this Oil Green type of jade is relatively high or very high, ranging from a few thousand yuan to tens of thousands of yuan. There are two types of Oily Green Jade. One is dark blue with very good water quality. When observed under the light, it appears blue-gray without any green tone. The other is a bluish-green hue, green under the light, and the water is good. The best quality Oily Green Jade has a slightly coarser jade structure than the Old Pit Glass Jade. Its gloss and transparency are also slightly lower than the Old Pit Glass Jade, but similar or equivalent to the Ice Jade. It is characterized by being as transparent as water but with a soft luster. If you look closely at its internal structure, you can see a few ripples, or a small amount of dark cracks and stone patterns, and occasionally very few impurities and cotton willow. Among the oily green jadeite, there is a distinction between primary oily green and secondary oily green. Native oily green jade is composed of iron-containing pyroxene minerals such as diopside. Since it is colored by Fe2+, the green color tends to be gray and dark, thus reflecting the oily green color. The secondary oily green color is mainly formed by the penetration of some chlorite clay substances into the gaps and micro cracks of the jadeite minerals that make up jade. It belongs to the middle to low-grade jadeite, while the original oily green jadeite belongs to the middle to high-grade jadeite and has a higher value. Generally speaking, the one with a blue base color is called blue oil green, the one with a green base color is called green oil green, the one with an old species and high density is called old oil green, and the one with a strong gray base color is called gray oil green. Finally, the quality of the three types of jade, namely, Huaqing, Ganqing and Youqing, also varies, so the prices in the market are also different. The specific prices should be judged based on the type, water, color and workmanship. Don't generalize. fcgc66 fcpf18 |
