Today I would like to share with you a piece of material whose origin is questionable. Some say it is from Damakan, some say it is from Muna, and some say it is from the Southern Qi Dynasty. The specific origin remains to be discussed. Although the origin of the material is uncertain, it does not affect our cutting and taking of the pieces. The material has yellow mist blue flesh, which belongs to the dark color series. I have to say that the texture of the material after cutting is very delicate. The pressing light also works well, and there is not a single crack where the item is to be picked up. The removed material was shaped by the master later. Because there was a foggy layer on the edge of the material, it could be used to carve tree branches. Needless to say, the master already had an idea........... After the subject was decided, the design was for Manjushri Bodhisattva. Judging from the names, Manjushri means wonderful and Shili means auspicious, so Manjushri Shili also means "wonderful and auspicious". As the saying goes, "30% material, 70% workmanship", after being baptized by the jade carver's exquisite skills, the beautiful jade will appear in front of us in the most perfect form. This shows how important jade carving is. The carved Bodhisattva statue has not yet been polished. The back is about enlightenment, and the rest is just polishing, which, like carving, is a technical job and is as crucial as carving. Finally, let's take a look at the effect after polishing, and then appreciate what kind of fine product this raw stone will be transformed into in the hands of the sculptor. This is the final finish. I look forward to the polishing effect. Isn't it very good? Manjushri Bodhisattva has a solemn appearance yet a gentle and serene beauty, and the lion he rides is so majestic. I love it! fcgc66 fcpf18 |
