Ice jade is a mid-to-upper-range jade, most of which are colorless or less colored, and there are also some green and purple ice jade. In the industry, ice jade is usually subdivided into high ice type, ice type, and glutinous ice type according to its transparency and fineness. High ice type refers to ice jade with higher transparency and very fine jade quality, but slightly inferior to glass type; glutinous ice type refers to a variety with lower transparency and better texture than glutinous type. If there are floc-like, intermittent vein-like, or band-like blue colors in the ice-type jadeite, it is called "blue flower ice", a common variety of jadeite.
