Although the epidemic has affected the jade market, I feel that the epidemic has only accelerated market changes. Another major factor is that the market is too chaotic now, with all kinds of fraud and deception. There has been a lot of negative news, fighting and slandering each other. As a result, many jade lovers don’t dare to believe it, and they don’t dare to do this or that. Gradually, they just watch and no longer buy it!

This is roughly the situation. Then let's talk about the price. Now the price of jadeite in terms of colored goods has nearly doubled compared to last year. The reason for the price increase is that high-end quality goods are being mined less and less, and there has not been much mining in Myanmar recently. The second reason is that the border between China and Myanmar is closed, and new goods cannot come in, so most merchants have last year’s inventory. The rarer the item, the more collectible it is, so the price is getting higher and higher. Although public auctions are opening one after another, the prices are also extremely high. However, I feel that they will gradually stabilize in the future.

I went to the market a couple of days ago and found that some mid- and low-end goods were the same. Generally, all prices are a bit higher than last year, and I found that many shops are closed and no longer open. I guess they have all gone home to sleep and are no longer dealing in jade!

The market is eliminating some things. Gradually, only high-quality, truly powerful businesses, or some new entrants will remain. The rest will be able to cheat and defraud people, but I don’t think they will last long. Several batches of online fraudsters have been arrested recently.

To sum up, although the country's borders will be gradually opened in the second half of the year, prices will not come down. The market may stabilize in the end, and most of the fraudulent merchants will slowly destroy themselves. Don't be greedy for small profits, because experts don't see any bargains.
