Jadeite becomes poetry, expressing the beauty of jadeite

“Sitting alone, watching the mountains and water, sleeping soundly, listening to the wind and rain. Guests come and go every day, flowers bloom and fall every year”, the word “freehand” is expressed vividly in just a few words.

Jade is regarded as a classic among pearls and gemstones because of its unique texture, rare commercial value and cultural demand. Jade culture is the essence of national culture that has been precipitated through thousands of years of historical development, the baptism of ideological trends and public appreciation. Among them, the freehand culture of jade is the least surprising, but the most intriguing.

Upper and lower case

In freehand painting culture, it is divided into large freehand painting and small freehand painting. Large freehand painting is based on the creator's emotions, and the overall freehand painting style is generated by the creator's feelings. The presented freehand painting is ultimately expressed through emotional expression and communication.

Nature is the best carver of these jades. The passage of time and years has endowed them with beautiful, flowing freehand symbols. The various uses of species, water and colours have the unrestrained and gentle elegance that comes from the quiet accumulation of time.

Freehand Philosophy

Although freehand jade, freehand painting and freehand calligraphy differ in their external forms of expression, their connotations come from the same foundation - China's traditional freehand philosophy.

As early as in "The Book of Changes·Xici Shang", sages said that "establishing images and setting up hexagrams" can express meanings that cannot be conveyed by words and language. In other words, the connotation of freehand painting enables people to communicate and interact better. Freehand painting uses brushstrokes that gradually change from thick to thin to convey the azure green peaks and misty waves. Freehand calligraphy, taking "Lanting Preface" as an example, uses unrestrained words to express the inner "carnival".

The same is true for freehand jadeite. The most obvious feature is the floating flowers on the jadeite. Those floating flowers floating on the transparent or white jadeite are extremely beautiful. But the floating flowers seem to be not just beautiful for the sake of beauty. Its more important aesthetic significance lies in its contribution to freehand jade.

Floating flowers are scattered on the transparent jade, and their unbroken temperament is like the poetic and picturesque feeling of ink strokes. It is these scattered and clustered floating flowers that give the jade works the snowy color of the south of the Yangtze River and the lonely smoke of the northern desert.

Freehand jade is the fragrant moonlight on the lotus pond, the warm northern frontier and southern Yangtze River, the simple and rustic Sichuan customs, the elegant and leisurely indifference...it is the jade culture that evokes emotions at first sight!
