How to Identify the Authenticity of Jadeite Authentication Certificates

Whenever talking about jadeite, the issue of identifying its authenticity becomes a headache. So how do you tell the authenticity of a jadeite certificate?

In China, jade identification certificates do not come from just one institution. Currently, there are three main types of jade identification certificates on the market, namely national inspection, provincial inspection, universities and third-party testing institutions.

The National Inspection and Quarantine Center is affiliated to the Ministry of Land and Resources’ Gem and Jade Jewelry Management Center. It is the setter of Chinese jewelry industry standards and the most authoritative testing agency, referred to as NGTC.

I wonder if you have noticed a common point when looking at the certificates, that is, the jade appraisal certificates of these authoritative institutions must have "CMA", "CAL" or "CNAL" logos. These logos represent the qualifications of the institutions, among which "CMA" is a must. If it is missing, it proves that the appraisal agency has no appraisal qualifications at all and is not trustworthy.

In addition to the above English logo, a formal jade identification certificate will also have a product image, certificate number and the institution's stamp.
