When cutting jade, you often see such material: a large piece of raw stone, after cutting it is found that there is only a line of color band inside, and the area after the color band is all "imperial white", and the color band is covered with fine lines (generally the color of jade is soaked in from the stone lines), and small pieces cannot be taken out.

The color of the raw stone with pine peel shell usually penetrates into the flesh. When it is cut open, it is found that there is indeed a large area of ​​green inside. Although a lot of green has soaked in, there are also many fine cracks in the green, and the water head around it is also dry. The base of the entire material is not very good, so it is not suitable for making bracelets or cutting into pendants. It is an ideal choice for making ornaments.

The jade carving master decided to make a pair of combination ornaments called "Under the Bodhi Tree" after some brainstorming based on the morphology of the color bands and the appearance characteristics of the jadeite.

The composition is based on the shape of this color ribbon, with two bodhi trees as the color. Under each bodhi tree, a formless Buddha is designed to be meditating. The figures are designed to be formless, which refers to the Buddha Shakyamuni as an image, and also to us ordinary people. The surrounding yellow jade is decorated with rocks, and the patterns are interspersed with clouds and smoke to transition. A composition full of Zen is born!

The jade carving master retains the outer skin of the jade without any carving as the back of the ornament, and gives it to jade lovers as a souvenir of gambling on stones; the jade part at the cut is carved with relief patterns as the front of the ornament. The carving master made full use of the green ribbon and used complex patterns of branches to avoid the fine cracks on the ribbon, making the ornament more perfect and better looking!
