Jade Story History

China is known as the "Jade Kingdom", and jade has accompanied the Chinese nation for at least 7,000 years. Traces of jade appeared as early as the Neolithic Age 7,000 to 8,000 years ago, and a large number of exquisite jade artifacts emerged during the Hongshan Culture, Longshan Culture and Liangzhu Culture periods 4,000 to 5,000 years ago.

The profound jade cultural heritage made jadeite an important rising star in the jade family at the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty with its meticulous and tough texture and naturally gorgeous color. Its value has been increasing in the evolution of nearly two hundred years, far exceeding the traditional Chinese jade - tremolite and actinolite nephrite.

From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, jade was basically circulated among dignitaries and wealthy businessmen, becoming a symbol of their status and a collection of concentrated wealth.
