1. Prong setting

2. Slot setting method

There are no hooks, and the gems are set tightly together. The metal claws are completely invisible, and the gems are set one by one along the gap, just like they were sewn together with thread. The basic method is to drill straight and parallel small grooves on the ring setting, and the gems are set in the grooves. This setting method is most suitable for bar-shaped or long gems.

3. Nail setting method

The nail is shaped like a claw, a small flat-top "nail" protruding from the ring setting that can press down the edge of the gemstone. The nail rivets the gemstone and the nail cannot be welded on separately. When using the nail setting method, you must pay attention to the fact that the gemstone should not be too deep or too shallow, and it should be coordinated and symmetrical with the ring setting.
