Remember the investment principles of jadeite!

Jade was extremely precious in ancient times and was mostly owned by emperors and wealthy people. To this day, jade remains one of the finest jewellery. In recent years, the demand for this jade has increased, while the output has become increasingly scarce, which has attracted many jewelry investors to compete for it, and the price has therefore continued to rise. This has also led to the jewelry market being flooded with all kinds of jade fakes, causing great trouble to buyers.

Several basic principles for purchasing jadeite:

1. First look at its color

1. The color is deep but very bright.

2. The color is even and smooth, and consistent throughout.

3. The color is pure without any foreign color.

4. The color is gorgeous and bright, without any gloomy color.

Second, look at its texture and transparency

The best textures of jade are "transparent", "watery" and "bright", among which crystal clear is the best. The transparent ones are commonly known as "glass clocks".

Then look at its shape. Generally speaking, jadeite that is polished into an oval or egg-shaped shape is the most valuable.

Knock and listen to the sound. Gently knock two pieces of jade against each other. If the sound is crisp and pleasant, it means that the jade is hard and has no cracks.

3. Look at the jade under the light

Real jade generally does not reflect light. When you look at it under light or sunlight, you can clearly see the impurities, colors and cracks in the jade. This can also be used to determine the quality of the jade.
