Teach you how to tell if jade is real in three minutes

Jade is the king of jade, and its unique temperament is quite consistent with our gentle and elegant character. More and more people like her, the market is getting bigger and bigger, and there are more and more fakes. In order to prevent counterfeits from continuing to flood the market, we must improve our own ability to distinguish. Next, let's learn a few simple identification methods:

Jade can be divided into A grade, B grade, C grade and D grade. Only Grade A jade is real natural jade; Grades B and C are actually processed jade, which is harmful to the human body; only Grade D is not jade.

1. Grade A jade is natural jade. Only grade A jade is valuable and is real natural jade.

2. B-grade jade is jade that has been chemically treated, a method used to make inferior jade look more beautiful and more valuable. B-grade jade is soaked in strong acid to corrode and dissolve impurities and stains, making the jade structure loose, and filled with transparent resin to make it clear and bright. It is harmful to the body and has no value.

3. C-grade jadeite is artificially dyed jadeite, which is also bleached by acid immersion and injected with glue and color. Any jadeite with added color is called C-grade jadeite. The color of C-grade jadeite is generally not durable, and it is especially afraid of exposure to sunlight. It will usually fade in one or two years or four or five years. It is harmful to the body and has no value.

4. D-grade jade is a physical imitation, which uses other materials such as glass or other jade objects of low value to impersonate jadeite. These are far inferior to jade and have no value. For example, there are four killers in the jade world: Mozhizhi, Shuimozi, Budaoweng, and Kunjiu; these four kinds of jade are often used to impersonate jade because they look very similar to jade.

So how to identify:

1: Look at the color root. The color root is a very strong presence in the green color of jadeite, and this strong green will spread around. Natural jade, especially green jade, has color roots. When observing the color root under the sunlight, the green color in other places will fade or may disappear, but the color root will always be green.

2. Listen to the sound. If you have two jades on hand, you can knock them against each other and listen to the sound. The sound of real jade is crisp and ethereal, but the sound of fake jade is mostly dull and muffled. If you only have one piece of jade on hand, you can hang it with a rope and tap it gently with hardwood. The sound of real jade is crisp and pleasant, but the sound of fake jade is mostly dull and muffled.

3. Weigh the weight. Jadeite, as a representative of hard jade, has a very high density. Generally, people in the industry who are very familiar with jadeite will weigh it up and down in their hands a few times and most of them will feel a sense of pressure. But if it is fake, it will feel light when it falls into the hand, and there will be no obvious feeling of pressure. This method is generally suitable for medium-sized jadeite.

4. Identification by professional institutions. When buying jade, people are afraid of buying fakes. Jade certificates play a very important role. As an independent third-party jade appraisal agency, the jade appraisal certificates issued must bear certain legal responsibilities to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
